For more than 10 years Laila Kildesgaard was an executive in the municipality sector in Denmark and has worked in all perspective of welfare and management.
Laila works with businesses, who are in the field of contributing to the green transition at especially the local level and in cooperation with local authorities. Her expertise is local content to green transition. Laila is something as rare as a specialist in local government leadership who understands countryside, suburbs and cities alike.
Experienced adviser to the Danish Government, members of parliament, municipalities, utility companies, developers of sustainable energy and local societies.
No matter if it is in front of 20 in a classroom or 1500 in a congress. She was a keynotespeaker at COP26 in Glasgow, Expo 22 I Helsingborg and world congress of Architects UIA23 in Copenhagen.
Raised in a small village in western Denmark, Laila has served over a decade in municipal top positions, from director in suburban Helsinor, through municipal director at the rocky island of Bornholm, to downtown Copenhagen as Director for Climate at Local Government Denmark.
Laila has significant contribution to Paris aligned agreement for Danish municipalities to reach carbon neutrality. Laila is chair of Naturenationalpark Almindigen and a board member of among other:
